God created the rose…
…A perfect medley
…….of color
…………and fragrance
…………….and charm.

Artist paint it
Poets meter it
..into symbols of strength
… beauty unfathomed
..... and love.

All this and one thing more…
….Upon it’s stem He placed a thorn.

Reach for it gently-
Handle it with care.

……..God’s perfect metaphor

None of us flawless..
None of us whole...

I have a thorn or two..

Reach for me gently,
Handle me with care...
....and I will be your rose -
........both petals and pain.
