THE TASTE THAT LINGERS

I have a friend who thinks the taste of melon
Is the sweetest taste of all…..

Another loves chocolate.

I have a sister who loves the taste of cinnamon
…….and apples in her tea.

A bit honey soothes her soul.

My Mother loved the taste of lemon curd
…….and melted butter…
…………on warm scones.

As for me –

I’ve found the sweetest taste of all
--and none can match its savor or its fill.

The taste of forgiveness
……….both given and received.
