for National Poetry Month - About my future granddaughter.
I Love it!!

"She Stays, She Stays"
Natalie Clayton

She stays with the others,
Keeping watch and waiting still.
The pangs of pure patience,
Sometimes it seems they might kill.

Asperity rises,
Time seems delayed.
But peace gently presses
The creases made.

Heavy hands hoist her heart,
Hopeful for what will.
She stays with the others,
Keeping watch and waiting…still.
